I saw some clinging window tint when I had my last car and figured I'd try to save a buck and try that out. Results- window tint:1, John: 0. I've done my share of vynl windsheild decals when I was younger so I know a bit on how to put on the vynl and get out the bubbles. So I did everything I could with the window tint, and not only did it not want to stick, it also bunched up when I rolled down the window.
Yesterday I was at walmart and I browsed through the auto isle. I came across this Axius Insta-Cling Windsheild Tint Strip for around 3 bucks. Being that the sun always seems to come through my windsheild in that same damn un-blockable spot every day, I figured I'd give it a shot- afterall, its only a strip right? Well, same thing here, I measured up my windshield nice and neat, cut the strip as best I could, tried putting it on and once again, it didn't want to stick. Not only that, but it was also cheap and purple looking. I could see that if I did manage to get it on straight, it would also be pretty blurry, making it tough to read signs (at the last minute when you're practically looking straight up). So, window tint: 2, John: 0.

No three strikes your out... I'm leaving the tint up to the professionals, and I'd suggest you do too.
