Hoodlift

Recently, Warrior Products aqcuired Hoodlift and we have been growing the number of vehicles for which we make kits. Although its not on the Hoodlift website yet, we do offer a kit for the Ranger. I know this because my truck was used for the R&D and I have the first kit installed on my '97 XLT.

I gotta tell you, it works great! After releasing the hand latch under the hood and lifting (with about half the force usually required) the hood raises on its own after about 5-7 inches. I'm currently replacing the fuel rail gasket and its great not having that damn prop stick in the way!!!!

Not sure why its not on Hoodlift.com yet, but I assure you it is available for sale. The kit utilizes one of the existing quarter panel screws and requires drilling six additional holes, two more for the bottom brackets and four for the hood brackets. It comes with two pistons, if I recall correctly, each has a lift strength of 76 pounds. So, plenty to push the hood up with no help.

Cheers,
Sean B.

I'm with Grev on this one. If there's a group buy with a good price, I'd be down.

$10 off for 10 pieces

$13 off for 30 pieces

Then there is shipping.

I am not sure the discount warrants the overall price.

I will be looking for a supplier with at least free shipping.
