Autocom Performance Parts
Well I ordered a couple items from Autocom Performance Parts online back on May 29. After a week I called them to see where my order was since I did not get a shipping confirmation e-mail. All I got was an answering machine. I left a message, but got no response. I followed up with an e-mail, but still got no response. So I called back and finally got hold of someone. He said it was shipping out the next day.
A couple days later it shows up, but come to find out they shipped the wrong part number. So I call them back and this guy looks up the order and say yeah that was the wrong part number. So he tells me to go back on their site and request a RMA. So I fill out all the requested info and wait for a response. On June the 8 I write them again asking when they expect to get my RMA. I get a e-mail back saying they are still waiting to hear from the Returns Department.
Later that day he sends me my RMA and informs me I need to complete the return document that was enclosed in my shipment...There was no such form I write back...He replies back and says its in the box. I replied, no its not...on and on this goes. So finally he says just write the RMA and account number on a piece of paper and put it in the box. OK, so I write back and ask who’s paying for the shipping....he replies you are of course. Oh and by the way send the item to a place in Exeter, PA, not where it came from. I write back asking why it needs to be shipped there when it came from Corona CA. His reply is that’s where there returns dept is. OK, so I ask him again when I can expect the correct item to ship, but no further replies....
So in good faith send the item to the address he requested, noting its coasting me $9.00 in shipping to PA. I send him the UPS Tracking info per his request and again ask when I can expect my replacement to ship...4 days later I still have not heard a word.
Today I send the following e-mail:
I have now asked twice as to when I may expect the
replacement item to be shipped with no response from
you to this question.
I have complied with your requests, including eating
the return shipping back to a facility that's more
than twice the distance from the originating shipping
address. Which by the way should have been at your
cost since your company shipped the wrong item.
Now, I'm asking one final time as to when I can expect
the correct item to be shipped. If you feel no
response is warranted and I do not receive a response
from you by close of business on June 14, 2005 I will
be forced to purchase these items elsewhere and contact
American Express and dispute the charge. Your choice....
This is what I get back:
WHEN THE ITEM IS RECEIVED BACK AND THE RETURN IS PROCESSED. THAT IS WHEN YOU WILL BE SENT ANOTHER PART.
Let me know if you have any questions.
So now Im looking at another week or two before receiving my replacement. Wow, 3 plus weeks to get something only 100 miles away.
In conclusion....I wont be doing anymore business with these peeps
