New tires: 35x12.5x15

My tires had seen better days, so I picked up some new tires this weekend. They are BFG A/T's, 35x12.5x15's. They replaced my 33 inch Procomp A/T's.

From driving on the street I have NO rubbing issues. I've yet to flex anything offroad.

Also, I had the shop install my pressure monitor valve stems. Once I hook up the receiver in the cab, I'll be able to monitor the pressure in all four tires.

I've got the monitor system from a member on here. We swapped my stock rims for the monitoring system.

Same as my street set. I have them mounted on aluminum AR's for the street and a set of muds (Mickey Thompson MTZ's) for offroad on stock F-150 steel wheels.

Yes, it's probably more money to have two sets, but you get the best of both worlds and your very expensive mud tires last a long time.

lol, I've read to many threads about wearing balljoints, so I'm a bit scared to crank them. This is my DD, so it gets driven a lot, I'd rather not have things wear prematurely.

How much did you pay for just the tires?
I paid $183 per tire at Kauffman. Total OTD was $747 ($42 tax). That's with no alignment and the replacement plan if they get damaged. They checked the alignment and it was fine, so they didn't have to do it. Also, Kauffman gives a discount for employees at my company. The discount took off $40.

now its time for a body lift
I want to, but I'm not a fan of the gaps in certain places. Plus, I'd have a lot of work to do on the front end to keep the guard and winch mount. Once I get another vehicle for a DD, I'm like to throw a solid axle underneath and convert it to 4wd.

you dont rub at lock?
Nope, it gets really close, but no rub at full lock. I know offroad I'll rub up front, but I don't no how much yet.

how much lift you got there
I've got 3" fabtech spindles up front and 1.5" AALs in the rear.

You've got 35" tires on a truck designed to run 28-29" tires and you're worried about cranking the bars on account of added wear?

They've probably sagged a bit and could use an adjustment.

If you dont go more then an inch and a half on a tbar crank you will be okay. I cranked mine 1.25in's and its been about 3 years or so and no premature wearing.

Yep. I haven't heard stories of bigger tires causing a lot of wear, but I have heard stories about ball joints wearing from cranking bars. I could be completely wrong about both, but all well. I've been stepping up the tire size slowly over the years and never felt concerned. I started at 245/75R16 then, 265/75R16, then 33x12.5x15 and now 35x12.5x15.

I removed the sway bars up front a couple years ago. I did it for the smoother ride. The increased amount of sway on turns doesn't bother me.

Thanks for the info. If I have too much rubbing offroad, I'll consider cranking them a bit.
