Painting the plastic makes me worry. I am not sure how it would hold up.

Deep Wedgewood Blue Foreverrr!!!

*sidenote: i'm going on 3 years of being duplicolor bedlined with no chips and virtually no noticeable fade at all. Only chips are where I hit the bumper with a hammer last year and when I touched the wet paint after I coated it.

Was the hammer incident during the average "I hate this ****ing truck so much" freak out that every one of us has had at least once?

Yes. I've moved on past sheet metal beatings....generally stick to frame/suspension now. Or just throwing the 4 pounder into the concrete with full force..

Ah yes, I love the good old concrete chips flying back into my face after a good old fashioned, retard strength hammer/wrench/infant throw down. Nothing says "I am angry right now" better then a hole through a concrete floor.

Looks good. But paint the plastics like others said. I've painted my valance and grille with Krylon Fusion and between road chemicals and other things I've gotten no chips. You just have to wash the plastics down very well and it will turn out great.

Brandon, I have MB Predators. They are from Discount Tire.

I will look into painting my plastic, lol. It still makes me nervous.

What kind of paint and clear coat do people use.

No clear coat. Just pick up a couple cans of Krylon Fusion Semi-Gloss paint. It'll give you the same finish your plastics have now, just a different color.

I used Krylon Fusion for plastic (satin black). I did two of my flares 10 minutes before it started pouring and it stayed on fine then while it was pouring i went through very deep water with them freshly painted and it held up perfectly. til this day, there are no chips on them and my tires throw so much junk on the flares too

Satin black fusion looks like *** on DWB.... I tried it. Has way too much gloss in it for the color of the truck. Flat Fusion is a better choice for DWB.

As good as your truck looks, Jordan, that finish just isn't for me. It clashes with the body paint. And frankly, your pic isn't a good representation of Satin Fusion on DWB. Here's mine...

[EDIT:] crap....don't have my external near by. [/edit.

Here's Fusion flat black with nothing ontop...

Shoot...on these you can see my test spray on the otherwise stock grey valence.....with the flat black flares....

mine matches the mirrors perfect which is why i chose satin instead of flat, and it is almost exactly the same as the black FX4 plastic
