Na bud. Believe me, these trucks can take it. I have a lot of friends that race and sled pull with trucks just like this. Most with over 1200 ft/lbs of torque. All you have to do is turn the torsion bars down.

And I didnt mean the Allison was a bad transmission, I just meant that if you put that much power to one, you will have to have it built.
PPE = http://www.pacificp.com/ Best tuner for the money. Yes EFI Live may be better, but for someone who doesnt know what they are doing, PPE is the way to go.

As for the Allison, ANY transmission is going to be rebuilt if they're going to be making that much torque. Any transmission will snap shafts, etc.

it didnt look that bad lol the towing mirrors poainted up white looked real good though. his truck was the same thing crew cab long bed diesel but he lifted the front end a bit not sure how then had helper springs in the back with some knock off weld racing rims and 33" cooper discover i think sst or whatever. he also had a programmer too. it hauled a$$. we were going 40mph one day and he punched it and smoked the tires on dry asphault already going 40. he also used it to tow his 45' weekend warrior toy hauler that weighed close to 17,000 lbs loaded up with his toys.
