Boredom again

Well I just got the new Adobe Creative Suite 4 and I've been seeing what's changed from CS3. I'm in Graphic Design/Visual Communication for school and well I use this type of software all the time. Just messing around in Photoshop and this is what I got.

I love it. Do you use a Mac? Is CS4 worth getting?

I don't use a Mac as of right now. I have an old iMac but it won't run anything newer than the original CS. Version 8 I believe? And when I transfer this next year, BGSU uses Apple computers.

But so far CS4 seems much more user friendly, but that's not a big deal with graphic designers. Something I'm not particularly fond of is the menus. The switched location all around. From version 6 to 10 they've been basically identical. Now they aren't.

For the work I do, CS4 is probably overkill. I liked CS3 so far. They huge price tag probably isn't worth it unless you get paid big bucks for what you're going to do with it. Thankfully my professor hooked me up.

Tyler,
looks great. What school are you going to? I am at the Art Institute and persuing my Graphic Design BA. I am thinking about buying CS4, the school has a deal going on right now that if I buy CS3 by December I can get the CS4 upgrade free. Since I am still using CS2 I think this is the way to go.

So besides user friendly is there anything else really different in CS4?

I use a MacBook Pro and wouldn't want to own any other laptop. It handles all the Adobe programs quite nicely. Trying the CS4 is a good idea maybe I will download the trials this week and check them out. Good idea.

The trial is the best way to find out. I only use it for certain things so there might be features I don't use that are new or that I don't know about.

As far as what school I go to, it's Northwest State Community College for now. Then Bowling Green State University after. The degree is actually a business degree in Visual Communication Technology but for the most part it's the same thing.

I could only wish I had a MacBook Pro. I'm doing an internship right now and I use a 17" version. So so nice to use.

I would love one of the new Macbooks, the video cards are 7 times more powerful than mine is. I love the compact size of the Macbooks compared to the Pros. I would not mind a Pro at all lol

Here is a screenshot of what the new Photoshop looks like on a Windows Operating system.

I wonder if you can download the trial and then the keygen program like you can CS2?

The CS4 keygen is out there but now it's a little more involved. Adobe is trying to crack down on pirated copies of their products.

It's your decision to download it if you can find it.

Just be careful if you decide to download it.
Alright, thanks for the heads up.

No it isn't according to the rules, nothing was being linked or advertised.
