Well you see I went to the chevy dealership to look at a 91 regcab 2.3/5spd.....well lets just say it had issues. they happened to have a 98 supcab/4dr 3.0/5spd 205k miles very clean minus some paint fade and a little hail damage. Salesman asked what I was looking to spend I said 2k. He went to go check if he could sell it for that. Came back saying they need 2400. I said 2200 was the max. It took two more visits with the manager and the last time he came out to me and I explained I wouldn't be heartbroken if they couldn't sell it too me. he tried to get me to go up 150 more and I said no. He walked back in and shortly after the salesman came out and said sold. Both trucks where on the back lot waiting to go to auction.

just had the quicklane check it out. No leaks and doesn't need any work done. Only thing wrong is one of the sway bar links is broken

nada's suggested retail value is 4900!! It runs great needs very minor TLC, but its clean for a 13 year old truck! I am going to sell the topper on it so I will end up gaining a little cash back.

I feel like I stole this truck lol.

Plan is for a 4/5, wheels and I am going to start collecting 01-03 edge parts. Probably put it in for paint later this year or beginning of next year. For now it's just a DD.

Swap on an Edge front end and sell it! I wouldn't worry with painting it....Looks fine other than the hood which you will replace with the new front end...Wait your cutting into the Marriage Money again..aren't ya?

Nope I sold the GMC and bought this for less then I sold the GMC for. I'm not going to sell it though I bought it to be a dd/cruiser.

3L's are know to go 300k+ I personally like 3L's. I got a good deal on the truck I am not going to complain.

Well in that case..its time to buy an Expo drivetrain as a project to tear apart and rebuild for the day the 3.0 craps out!

That'll be the long term goal. If this motor craps i'll get a cheap replacement more then likely. I wont be able to tear into this truck for another year or two. I want to be into my career with a house before I do that so I actually have a garage to use lol.
