Yeah buddy.
This is the first "nice" thing I've bought for a truck in a longgggg time.. if ever haha
Someone at work said the stock speakers have a lot of potential with a nice head unit.. I have no idea if what I got was what he intended but its a brand I can trust and it looks really clean.. I can tell a difference in the sound and it gets louder too. Eventually I'll get an amp and a 10" sub.. but this is all for now.
Its a Pioneer DEH-P5100UB.
MP3/AAC/WMA.. not blue tooth equipped but it is ready for it, i just need to buy a kit, also Sat/HD Radio ready.. pretty much standard on all the decks unless you're spending less than $100 it seemed like.
I think by far my favorite part is that i can leave the Ipod in the glove box.. charging, and scroll trough all the menus on the deck. That and its pretty plain/clean lookin, its not all bulky with a ton of buttons like the Alpine decks were. My only complaint is that its hard to push the spinny **** in while your driving w/o making it move side to side or up and down which changes the radio station but thats where the remote comes into play lol.
onto the pics.
....now i just gotta go through and delete 90% of the play lists i dont use anymore.

what speakers would you recommend?
haha, my ranger came up when they asked if i wanted the extended warranty.. i turned to my friend and was like, "maybe if it was the ranger" haha, I'm gonna go get a Marnie head unit and speakers at some point so i don't need to keep the damn tarps over it all the time.

we we're just sitting in his driveway..
Nice Unit man. I like how it lights up the neon blue. I have a Panasonic Deck that lights up similar.
I have some Pioneer 4-way speakers and they sound great. However, its hard to tell the difference between 3-ways and 4-ways. I just got the 4-ways because they were on sale.

i listen to some rap, and some of the rock/metal is pretty heavy on the bass... its starting to bother me lol
