The_Dealers new rig...

Well i sold my ranger, i have a baby on the way, so i needed something with a back seat. I ended up buying this 85 BroncoII for $1000 from a guy down the road. I fixed the timing cover seal and the rear main, and she's running good. I bought her with a 3" lift(unknown brand, but does have pivot drop brackets) and 31x10.50 goodyear at's on rockkrawler rims...well heres a pic of her

since this pic ive started sanding off the surface rust, and the line where the 2 tone meets, and started priming her. Ill have some more pics of the progress soon

right now im working on all the duraspark ingnition conversion parts(to get rid of all the vacuum lines and wiring), 2" body to make room for the tires, Duff radius arms, 4.10's, carpet kit, and mastercraft or some other style racing seats. i do need some headers because of a small crack and a rusted exhaust

yea its gonna be my dd, isnt doing too good on gas, but the duraspark should help that. im missing alot of vacuum lines and i dont feel like figuring out all that, just to turn around and rip it all out with the duraspark ignition

Not to be a buzz kill or anything, but I woulda bought a 2.9... I bought a 2.8 not knowing much about it and I've hated it everyday since (little over 4 years). No power, horrible mpg and horrible reliability due to all the smog $hit. I do however agree 110% on the duraspark idea. If I had the spare cash I would do the same. Maybe thats all I need to fix how it is now... Beside that, b2s are sweet and fun, and slowly becoming rare. Don't see near as many as I use to. Good luck on the build.

well i wasnt really in the market for one, but i had just sold the ranger, and i come across her for a good price and snatched her up. im gonna do the duraspark(actually got some more parts for that this morning) and ride her out until i can get my uncle to give me a c-4 to go with the 5.0 (347)he said i could have

i did have an 88 b2 back in high school with the 2.9 and it was alot of fun, had way more power then the 2.8. but hell i aint no speed racer and in 4-low its just fine

btw the paint scheme is wierd because the guy had 2 matching b2's my 85 and an 89 that didnt run, he put the 89 doors on it to get rid of the vent windows, and took all the good parts off the 89 and put them in the back seat lol

Durasparked 2.8 is definatly the way to go.

But I disagree... Vent windows FTW... I've been lookin for a good set. Which is easier said than done actually lol
