flexy forklift fun (56k beware!)
Disclaimer: YES there are alot of pics because I just threw 'em all in there.
I needed to check some measurements and whatnot and finally have access to a reliable forklift at my work. The first handful are alittle extreme and past the realistic point of drivablity (even on extreme terrain) because the front right tire just has no room to spin without serious rubbing. Also, the tie rod was mashed up against the bottome of the passenger frame rail. I noticed this after the fact of lifting the truck to this point, but figured I'd get pics regardless..
The rest are much more realistic flexing, where no binding or rubbing will occur:
^^Traction bars seem to work like a charm!
^^Left rear: 26" off ground.
^^Front left: 29" off ground.
I'm gonna do it all again on Saturday because the light was disappearing quickly and I completely forget to check measurement for my front driveshaft..

Most of the point of doing this was to check/take measurements for the shocks. A couple of the shocks I had on were bad, so when getting the new one's I need, I'll have the measurements!

I appreciate the comments guys! Thanks.
And yes, leafs can be very flexy. However, even with the flex it currently has, doing that exercise makes me want coils/coilovers even more. And for anyone going with the Toyota long travels for the front, I highly recommend checking into the Heavy Duty front 5" leafs from TrailGear (I posted a thread on it awhile back). I have 6" leafs front and rear and the rear definitely have more lift, which when it comes to compressing, give 'em more to go. And leafs can have just as much droop as compression, it all depends on how angled the shackles are when sitting at ride height.
