Rare 2004 or2005 Ranger XLT 2-WD with chrome step bars

Hey guys,

I found a rare 2004 or 2005 Ranger XLT 2-WD with chrome OEM running boards and chrome OEM bed rails. I really want to fix my Ranger up like this, but those chrome step bars are pretty much non-existent.

Ive got the rails and the boards. You can order them at any Ford dealership (i believe), but they are expensive. I painted all of it black though

I'm so jealous ... I figured you could order them from a dealership, but I know how expensive dealship parts are.
I found a set of black step bars like the ones I posted and I was wondering if there's any kind of chrome spray paint I could use.
My other two options are buying the chrome bars from the dealership or having them dipped in chrome.

Which would be the cheapest route to go?

Keep trying these 2. Post up a "want to buy" in the classifieds section here.
buying these new from the dealership will work as well.
I probably wouldnt use the chrome spray paint. Also, having them stripped and dipped in chrome would be pretty expensive (i think)

I've checked e-Bay and CraigsList and I actually bought a set of BLACK 2008 step bars off of e-Bay (but they are for a 2-door) and I just bought a set of 2002 BLACK step bars for a 4-door extended cab off of Craigslist.
The guy with the 2002 step bars said the finish was in pretty rough shape, but they have the right mounts for my truck. I'm also having them dipped in chrome, so I'm not too worried about the finish.
I was afraid that chrome spray paint wasn't worth a sh**, so I'm just going to bite the bullet and have them chromed out.

Hey Taylor,

Thanks for the tip, but I've already done the "want to buy" thing on here and on Craigslist.
Trust me, I've been to the ends of the earth looking for some OEM chrome running boards.
Unfortunately, the "want to buy" thing isn't working too well for me on here, because I've also been asking for some 06 + parts and I haven't got any responces.
I'm not going to give up though ... hopefully my perseverance will pay off.
