Memorial weekend camping pics(tons of pics beware)

nothing major just a couple pics from my camping trip this weekend. no action shots but oh well. We drove up to a couple different spots and went turkey hunting and tried to go mushroom picking but only found one lol. there was some snow drifts to bust through and it was muddy everywhere but like I said nothing to major. Had fun letting the dogs run arround and what not. The first few pics are from a camp someone made up toward the top at a radio tower. they had a fire pit, table, a deal to tie up horses, and even a homade outhouse. We opened the door to find a big *** squirel which my lab quickly pounced on and caught lol. the rest are just some random sceneory shots and then our camp.

This snow drift kinda put a stop to our driving lol. It was slick as hell cuz it would melt then freeze at night so we decided not to chance it not to mention my buddy was driving a stock rav 4

Yeah its a sweet spot. Plenty of trails to go on and bike trails, hiking, there are sveral lakes and the river for fishing, hunting galore, looking for mushrooms is going on big time right now, and thats all with in like 5 miles from where we were camped.

Yeah there was a huge fire up there last year. My buddy has a cabin that almost got burnt which would of sucked cuz his parents built it and had just finished it for the most part. They have been building it for the last 6 years.

yeah it was even better til that fire hit but stuff is growing back nicely. Its real pretty up top but we couldnt get there cuz of that snow drift. we walked up around the drift but I left my camera in the truck and didnt want to go back and get it. Lazy! we go up there alot since my friends have cabins up there and its only like a hour and fifteen min drive.

Dang, looks like some good hill climbs! Reminds of riding in WV, just needs less pines and more old refridgerators and washers!

S.O.B. I saw your truck when we were leaving sat evening at the top of Heartsock. My gf saw it and said look at that ranger lol. No we didnt get any turkeys but we didnt try real hard we saw a couple of groups when we were leaving. Yeah that place is fun we go up there quite a bit since my buddies have the cabins up there I just wish we could have got all the way up to the guard camp at godmans peak but that snow drift put an abrupt stop to that. We were camped aways down that dirt road past last resort right before panjab bridge.
