Well here are some newwer shots of the ram until i can get it painted..

Been working 6 days a week 12 hours a day, so i dont have time to get it painted right now... But im the type of person who when you spend money on something, you want it on now... so its on... matches the theme of the truck for now.. so its not like its pink or anything...

In the past 2 weeks ive put on the Reflexxion cowl hood, and the street scene rollpan, just got the hidden hitch in the mail today... need to install that, and figure out how i want my exhaust to come out... and wire in a license plate light..




trying to install the roll pan... The trailer hitches on these are a PITA to get off.... You actually have to unbolt the bed, and lift it.. to remove the hitch..

 

Going to get pics of the hood real quick...

None of its painted yet.. should be painted in the next week or 2..

Where did u get a hitch that will go with a roll pan? I have never found one

 

Yeah, the pics dont give it justice, but i know what your sayin..

I need to find the right clear that wont screw the tail lights up though..




They make a hidden hitch for roll pans, sits up higher, the license plate is suppose to spring down, but it was 50$ so ill just remove the plate when i tow... which isnt often, so im not worried about it..

Yeah, trans in these suck.. but i like the truck... tons more room than the ranger, and tons more power than the 5.4L f150.. so im happy..

Yeah its a 4wd.... i lowered the rear 2in with drop shackels.. when i win the lotto im going to be building the motor up.... when the trans goes out i will get it rebuilt with some goodies in there..

For right now i think im just going to get it all painted silver... cant think of anything else i would want to do... I like clean and simple...

Thought about getting the sport grill and painting it black, painting the hood black, and the whole top of the truck... at the body line... but i dont have money for that!

You know, I think that woudl look absolutely sick if you went with a straight black front end to compliment the tails and headlights and such.

Im open to options.. but for right now unless i see something that i really like.. im just going to paint it silver..

Installed the hidden hitch today, it was a pain in the ***... had to drill my frame.. but it works....

And i know its 4wd.. but i want to lower the rear another 2 inchs to match the front... Im not going to slam it, but i want it even.. and lower.. so im not crankin the torsions..

Some said i should have bought a 2wd, but ill never own one.. i like to be "sleeper" and still have 4wd...

I completely disagree with that. The 5R45E is a good transmission just as long as it's in the new body style Ram truck. When they did the redesign from the square ram to the one in the early 90's they were pure crap. We in all honesty don't see many problems with it anymore except for a front pump seal leak here and there. You can definitely complain about their crappy evaporative emissions system, rear wheel speed sensors and driveline vibration from 45-55 if it's a 4wd though.

 

Its a 4wd... no leaks as of yet... but within the 1st week of owning it, the tranny messed up, and i took it back to the dealership... so i have to say that the trans in my truck sucks at least...

still isnt 100% shifts weird sometimes, but ill deal with it until it goes out...

I think right now my plan is to just paint everything silver... leave the back side (the holes that you see from the inside of the cab) black... but everything else silver...
