Fx4wannabe01's bad *** truck..NOW in DAZZLING technicolor
In light of a recent locked up thread(more on that later), I figured I'd update my former community on my truck. I still have it. I'm still alive. Life is 350% better than it was. Not much really has changed on it, but 2 years and some things here and there have made the truck the best it's ever been. Sadly, in 2011, she added only about 3,000 miles on the odometer.
Soon as I found myself employed again, I splurged on Oregon classic styled plates and got me some very much needed tires. Tires being 35x12.50R15 Goodyear MT/R Kevlar's.
Soon after, I bought the wheels I was lusting after ever since I made this from a pic of Justin's truck...
But it looked horrid in person...
And on went the Eagle 185's... Also during this time, what should have been a simple Explorer disc swap onto my LII axle, turned into an expensive brake swap. Crosspin bolt broke inside the carrier, so I had to cut the carrier up. Upgraded to a Auburn Ected locker and obviously the discs. Upgraded to a F250 brake master cylinder. Explorer leafpack eliminated the AAL's. Fox 2.0 coil-overs and 750lb springs with great help from great friends to get my brackets completed that I designed. D2S projectors w/ 3" lenses and the Phillips bulbs (NOT your everyday D2S install btw...). Super secret aux switch location finally completed and FINALLY wired up all 4 KC's and (currently) 2 100w backups. I can't really think of much else that has changed since I was last active on here(or anywhere for that matter).
I've got some things I still want to do to it, and every couple of weeks something changes on it. Namely the big items....rebuild trans, stock clutch, and get my 1354M hybrid put back together since after this weekend, pretty sure the old stock electric case finally bit the dust.
Enjoy some pics...
Some from this past weekend... and the first represents where I come from... lol...

Yep! Haven't yet wired it up though. But I know I'll be blown away when I do. lol.
LR flare is always the first to pop off. Then the RR. Then the RF. lol. It's the signature look of my truck....always missing it's LR flare during play time. lol.

Thanks guys!
LOVE 'EM!! Got them for a great price, not quiet but not too loud...they're the quietest M/T's I've had on it. Only issue is getting two out-of-round tires I'm still fighting Discount Tire about. I'm very close to sending emails to corporate and to Goodyear. Other than that issue, they're great. Great grip in dry and wet pavement, they freaking shine when aired down in deep snow. I was impressed with them this past weekend being fully aired up and the locker not working(finally wired it, must've messed up lol). Then again, this weekend wasn't too hardcore but as seen in one of the pics, she stays on a side bite situation and kept climbing.
HAHA.... it does want to be flareless.... Heck want it to be flareless! lol. Hate those damn things.
It does look good on yours and I love it. I'd like to see it slammed on 18's and chrome chrome billet. BUT I will say though, seeing yours made me want to ditch my idea of doing it. Not only because you've got it (lol), but because I could already tell I was gonna hate it in person. My girl needs her chrome.

No lowered truck for me, I use mine (as illustrated by the picture) and would never be able to make it to my best friends house if I was lowered. Barely made it stock a couple of times haha.
I understand, I think your truck is the quintessential example of Badass as is hahaha wouldn't change a thing. Good to see the camper painted as well! The more DWB the better
