You asked for it, here we go :-)
Head gasket 20 year leak got lots worse (never used stop leak)
Passenger window came out of the channel opens 2 inches can't get the glass out. Maybe it can be done - he** with it.
Xost has a hole in it maybe the flange needs tightening he** with that too.
Vibrates terribly from 35 mph up. Might be clutch or transmission.
No gaurantee the vibration is in the clutch or transmission.
I've rebuilt the diff and drive line and axle bearings.
Clutch has 217K (154 mine) Probly last another 100K with only me driving it. Still if the transmission is out might as well do the clutch.
I don't have a transmission jack and don't want to rent one. Probly make do without but he** with that.
Radio hasn't worked in years. Antenna is loose. Don't give a dm.
Our Crown Vic was totalled and decided to go with just one vehicle. So
It was our only vehicle - no way can I fix all that over a weekend.
I'm sick of working on vehicles - worked on diesel trucks - I'm done.
I've no intention of touching a wrench to the Ranger or even servicing it myself.
After all that my wife is in poor health and my plate is full with all that and other problems.
It takes time and dedication to keep an old heap up to snuff - I have neither.
Ranger is new enough and low mileage enough we oughta get several years pain free existence from it. Its a pleasure to drive it. Glad I bought it.
Last but not least after all that sad tale of woe - I painted it a few years ago and it was the only heap that color in town. Now there must be 100. Nuff to make a feller say durn.
