This thing sounds DEEEEEP at idle, I haven't had a chance to even drive with it yet so I'll report back. Its much deeper than no muffler though, we'll see how it changes when the muffler gets broken in.

I really wanted one until I heard it at high rpm, from Shane's video. But it does sound really good at idle.

No I just have this one. I had a adapter made from the 3" inlet to my 2.25", then clamps and a hanger. I'm going to get it all welded up once I get my pipes ran out the back, this will do for now though.

Yeah it does get a little ricy at full throttle but that doesn't bother me too much.

I wonder if it's because it just dumped. I think Shane's is dumped too. Do you think enough bends in a tailpipe would take care of that rice??

The Longer tail pipes ,the deeper/mellow the sound will be. And the more bends, the louder it will be..

I hope it sounds good on your truck. I know on my 302 it was horrible, it was obscenely loud and droned like no ones business.

not from my experience......it sounds different after about a week....gets covered in gunk. I've had a grand total of 3 new flowmasters on my ranger, and 4 new flowmasters on my chevy.....they all sound different after a week...

Oh....i am dumped. actually...no turndowns....just stragiht up nothing out the back of the muff. Who really drives at 5500? 4000 is the highest mine sees ever. Oh...and after all my differnet muff setups on the ranger.....NONE of them DIDN'T sound ricey at high rpm's.

I think what it is Shane, is the grease and whatever they put in them to "preserve" the insides, and eventually it burns out.. You can kind of smell a weird smell for the first few days up to a week, just the stuff burning off inside.. It does get louder though i agree, and trent you will notice it to get more "gurgly" at idle, and overall deeper, but it will take a good week to 2 weeks tops.. I had a delta 40 put on my old 94. But i think its the junk they put inside of them burning off.. I could be wrong, but i was told chambered mufflers cant break in.. if im wrong please correct me, and I apologize Trent if i am wrong.. Oh, and SOUND CLIPS! lol..

Thats what I was referring to Nick, I just used break-in as the term. I don't really have any way to get sound clips, I'll post one up if I get the chance though.

I don't drive my truck that often here at school so it will probably take me a month haha

No no no lol, theres a hanger 4" out of the pic, it doesnt move at all. I think I might add one more just in case. Everything is nice and clamped tight, this sucker isn't going anywhere.

If I don't like this one, magnaflow here I come.

Oh forgot to add my little story. So I'm laying under my truck tightening the clamps down and someone pulls up and starts talking to my girlfriend. I'm in my school parking lot so a ton of people were around. It turns out it was a cop and he was making sure I wasnt stealing someones catalytic converters lol. He ran my plates and took a log of my working on my exhaust and everything, I was surprised they went that in depth on this stuff. Good they're watching out for my baby haha

looks good, cant wait to hear it.

that catalytic converter stuff is unbelieveable... guys actually went to a local chevy dealer and hacked all the converters off new vehicles... now if someone shows up with a hand full of converters wont that look suspicious???
