Pictures of my vw bug
Well I just towed it home about 2 hours ago. Need to do a tune up on the carb and replace the seal on the breaks and she'll be good to go to drive. Then I will start the slow process of collecting new parts for it and get it sanded down and take care of the surfice rust(not much from what I can see, but there could alwas be more) Also needs a new hood. Anyway here's the pics
Also to let those who thought it might of been a super beetle. It is not. It's just the regular beetle.

Thanks everyone. For right now it'll be my MPG car, but hopefully by next summer either a built vw motor or a motor swap of some kind. It'll be a street car. It's got the 1600 Shane and I do like the volksrod, but I kinda want to keep it more stockish(sleeper) I have already done the math and if I get it to around 150-200hp it'll run with 03 cobra's. So it wont take much to make it move.
As far as rust and everything I haven't had time yet to tear it down, but all the rust from what I can tell is not to bad besides the hood. The hood is toast and I will need a new one.

Very nice! I miss my old Beetle, but moved on to other VWs.
My 1967 Microbus
My 1959 Karmann Ghia
Oh, this is my old Beetle.
A solid engine for that would be a balanced 1776 with dual webber 40 IDFs. It would REALLY wake that bug up! :)
Good luck with your Beetle.

Runnin with the v-8 guys is tough, but doable. I leaving all the rice and stock GT stangs and Cameros, but the cobras and the fast chevys were still beating me. I was running a 1985lb '68 Ghia, with a 183hp 2075cc stroker. i had about $4k in the motor, and another $2k in the tranny to make it hold up to the motor.
