What's the point? Headers won't do you any good if you don't have some sort of forced induction (At least on a Ranger).... No SC or turbo, no point for the headers.... They may add SOME sound, but at the price of what... $400, it's not worth it....
He's going to put the money into tunes for his x-cal instead. Much smarter investment.

I only consider dyno numbers reliable if the runs are made back to back, same time, same dyno, with one mod at a time. Differences in temp, pressure and humidity alone could easily make that much of a difference. Dyno numbers are so easily manipulated.
Good tunes will help more than headers on that truck I believe, and much cheaper if he already has a tuner.

Most of that is false, several have said that buying headers is nearly the same as adding a tune. I noticed quite a difference with my headers after installing them. Well worth the money and you dont have those ugly looking rust cast POS. Now I have forced induction and I am sure that helps even more. Headers are worth it on several vehicles. You can tell by looking at most its going to help with flow and they help with heat.
They are about equal to the gains of a tuner, but the tuner will change more than power, it also changes the tranny shift patterns, which to Shane and Trevor that really doesnt matter anyway.
