Mustang's replacement

Here it is it's a 1998 GMC Sonoma with the 2.2L/5spd has 143k miles on it and runs good. Might have to do a clutch on it soon, but that's cheap so I'm not worried. I also got $6k out of the deal which was the amount of cash I was looking for with a trade so I'm pretty content with the deal, but I am going to miss that car a lot! Goal though is to have another by summer of next year. Anyway onto the pics.

Okay since it seems confusing for whatever reason I'll try to explain it better

Guy had the truck offered me the truck PLUS $6,000 cash for the mustang.

Sorry man, not a fan at all. Shoulda sold the Stang outright and DD'ed the Ranger until you could afford a better DD. I mean, I feel like you got ripped off with that truck and only 6k cash. I don't pay attention to the value of GMC trucks like that, but I'd think it wouldn't be worth much more then 2.5k. So you gave away your Stang for just 8.5k?

Stang was only valued at about 8-8500 private party. I wasked 9500obo. The truck is valued at 2500-3000. So i'm making out at 8500-9000. It gives me something that I can be my dd without racking up miles on the ranger/f150. Not expecting most of the people on here to like it. I mean come on it is a RANGER forum lol.

Uhh..no the f150 has way more value you then that mustang could of ever had to me. The f150 was my dads truck and the only thing I really have that was his. I didn't have the connection with the mustang.

If I ever did anything it'd be a v8 swap since its so common and relatively cheap.

Guy said he thinks its been lowered some. Might just be the factory sport suspension they offered.

cool cool. i think the factory zq8's were lowered 2" below the regular 2wd's. but that sits about how my old s-10 did and i put a 2-3 lowering kit on it. either way im sure it handles nice sitting at that height.

Looks like it's not too shabby a vehicle man, and if it gets you from A to B for relatively cheap then its getting the job done!

Yeah once I get the 17's on it I'll see where it's at. I still think the rear needs to come down about another inch.

Exactly and a lot of people in this thread aren't realizing that's the goal with the truck. Sure i'm going to put some of my personality into it, but i'm not going hog wild on it. He said he gets about 300 to a tank. I just filled it up and it was almost empty. Put 12.2 gallons in and did the math on the trip and it said about 24mpg.

I don't think I've seen anyone else buy so many vehicles, dump money into them and trade them off again so quick...

You're a weird dude. lol

so what is the point of selling the sweet mustang and getting this truck? you already have an f-150 and ranger that seem to never really get used and a bmw... i understand the f150 was your dads but do you really think you will have that truck forever? remember, this is my opinion... but i would rather see the f150 go when she is looking good and remember it the way my dad had it. i would get rid of that bmw and then i would consider a different vehicle for a dd. im open to owning multiple cars but usually the vehicles you dont drive are actually worth something. not just sentimental value
