Swapped in my new FX4 Cluster today! + Gas Skid
Well I went to the local pic-a-part today. I was there the other day and noticed a FX4 there. Rolled a few times, engine gone, seats gone, most of the good stuff was missing. It was a 2006, wish i could have gotten tails, front ambers, emblems, seats? and such. I may have gotten brave and snagged all the 4x4 stuff. But the trans/x-case and such were missing.
So I just made off with two things, the cluster ($25) and the fuel tank skid w/brackets ($10). I got the skid mounted up, i had to cut down two of the recesses and drill holes. Not perfect, but I'm extremely happy with it for $10 and a little time. Will certainly save my tank!
The cluster took me about an hour or so to install.
Custom trash can work bench
I love it!

I did! Very handy, the needles were pretty easy. Took a little fanagling to get off, but i used my pocket screwdriver, pulled, and turned..popped right off.
Yea I'm really glad i got the skid for the tank. I knew it wasn't going to be a direct drop-in. But it was close enough, plenty of insurance though for off the trail. I tend to be in rockier areas than i should be, and with the bumper i take out bushes randomly lol
As far as the cluster goes, I have to check with my buddy. He has priority, then blackedge said he was interested in another thread already. So we'll see somewhat soon.
It's a big fat grey hippo truck lol
lol, that'd be a tough task. i take a LOT of pics
Should be fairly soon.

Lighting on the new gauges aren't exactly the same as stock. Seems like the ends of the speedo and tach are dim for some reason. I don't see why i'd swap that sway, since i used the internals i already had. I may have to tear into it and take a look at that at some point.
