I'm like Marty McFly...

...I'm goin' back in time!

Sorry for the dramatics there, it was funny in my mind.

After wrecking my front cross member and my valance, I'll be boxing in the front end (in the future). For now, since I had an early day at work, I took an hour ride down to Certifit and picked up a 2001-2003 style valance. The prepping begins tonight, I probably won't throw on any photos of it until I've bought and installed some fog lights for it. Stay tuned...

The before shot

After the crash

Front cross member... crushed

This was before I straightened out my bumper relocation mounts (for the body lift). Luckily the bumper was saved from most of the damage.

Mangled valance - the reason I'm finally doing this

Finally, my new 2001-2003 style valance (it will not be cut for the tow hooks).

Indeed. I've always liked them more, now I finally get the chance to have them.

Most likely I'll be trashing it, there's nothing much I can do with it.

good good. Gotta love those weak weak PA brackets right!?? I put 1/4" carbon steel ones on mine to replace those darn PA ones that like to bend and shake the bumper.

If I didn't have the crappy PA brackets, I might have bent the chrome bumper... I'd rather deal with hammering out the PA brackets then trying to straighten out the chrome bumper. So, yeah... this time, I'd definitely say I gotta love the weak PA brackets.

We'll see what's down the road. I'm trying to reuse them if I can.

The truck has been abused on the trails, so they get moisture in them and some of the chrome has worn off of the backs of them... hell, I even spraypainted them chrome once...but if you want em dirt cheap, it can be done. Is it worth it though to have an item like that shipped over the boarder?
