so here it is, the only picture i have, yes its a pic of a pic sorry.

it was a 1983.5 regular cab XLS 2.0 4 speed. i bought it used in 1987 or 88.

daniel (5speeding2.3) was 3 or maybe 4 years old in this pic.

it evolved big time! started with a larger set of 14 inch tires, wound up with 30 or 31 inch mud kings, 4 inch trailmaster I beam lift, 3 inch body lift. 1977 5.0 with a BW T5 5speed trans. broke the 6.75" rear axle within a week, swaped it to a 7.5 with a motorsport traction lock diff, 3.73 gear. it was 2wd and one tough truck!

daniels mom, my X hit a mail man and this is why the front clip had to be replaced. soon after this i sold it for a escort station wagon.

i miss it!

i sold the truck private. i had another escort wagon at the time, it was maybe a 84 or 85, i may have traded that for the new 91 escort wagon, that was my first new car, less then 2 months later some idiot pulled out in front of me and damn near totaled it. it should have been totaled but it was to new i guess. needless to say the 91 wagon was never the same and a few months after that i offed it for my second ranger, it was a 1992 XL and daniels younger brother drives it now.
