New billet grille!

So I finally got my billet grille from eBay. Was $55 shipped from a store called grille4ever or something similar. Fits great but required me to cut part of the plastic piece that funnels air through the radiator.

Without further ado, the pictures:

quick question...is the billet curved/domed to match the curvature of the grille shell?

In short no. The grille actually mounts behind the grille shell. The original honeycomb/mesh is taken out completely.

The grille is shaped like this, but more exaggerated than this:

I think the mounts are messed up. I tried doing the bumper mod and pushed them as far as they'd go. I need another hand next time I try it.

The bumper itself is straight just looks funny because one side is lower than the other.

I considered it but I'm going to stick to a polished/chrome theme. I thought about this before I even ordered it. Eventually I'm going to get polished aluminum rims, a chrome upper front bumper, and chrome rear bumper.

Thanks! I never did find that vertical grille. All that talk about grilles made me buy one. Haha.

You can have my upper bumper. But that's it. Hahaha. I really want to get more mods done but I have to wait until the money comes around.

I still can't believe how nice this grille was for what I paid. Knowing my luck it'll fall apart in a week.

Well that's my dilemma Stone. I can't decide if I want a black and red theme or chrome and red.

Looking at Trigger01's truck I'm not a big fan of the black grille, black rims and black headlight mod. It looks good but just not the look I think I want.

What I would like to do is keep the grille polished, get a chrome upper bumper, chrome rear bumper and a nice set of polished 15x8's. Plus a set of black housing clear corners.

I can dream right?

We'll see how much time I have in between basic and tech school. If we time it right I'll be back long enough to do that before I get shipped off again.

Addition to that list: #1 Torsion Bars, Locker of some sort and 4.30 or 4.56 gears.

Only time will tell.
