well im kinda new over here and posted a few pics over in the intro forums and thought id post some in here. ive had the truck a little over a year and this is kind of a quick run down of its stages. sorry for all the pics!

how did you do that to the antenna?

 

you need a front bumper off an edge, that would make it look much cleaner.

look on www.car-part.com for a used one.

 

poped the ball off with vise grips cut it with my bench grinder and pounded the ball back on. its actually a little shorter than that pic cause i took a little more off,radio reception is still great. yeah im in illinois alittle south of peoria.

 

damn, i didn't know the ball came off.

im going to cut mine down to be level with the roof.

its on there pretty tight but it does come off. put a rag or something over it so you dont lose it when it pops off!

 

i wonder if it would help if i took some heat to it.

idk ill figure it out.

Nice sharp looking truck, I agree with the painted valance/bumper up front, roll pan in the back, shave the emblems, and maybe a nice small neon stripe down the upper body line.

roll pans scare me, when you install one, you remove the rear bumper and put a fiberglass or thin steel cover in its place.

then what happens when someone rear ends you?
bent frames are expensive to fix..

a powerdome hood off an edge would also look nice but im not sure if it would line up with your grille.

 

The edge hood did not line up on my xl,, works for some, didnt for me, not worth the extra weight really..

I would get the clear corners with the black plastic edge, ss mirrors, paint your front bumper, paint handles, maybe the roush spoiler?

and rear sway bar if you dont have it.. and exhaust!

 

I agree with what your saying about rollpans but let me ask, do you think that a bumper that low would actually help in a rear end collision? Also did you forget about the weakness factor of the factory bumper? Besides rollpans look cool...lol

 

they do look cool, but if a car hits you the stock bumper is going to bend down and cave in before the frame bends.

now if a truck hits you, your screwed, bye bye tailgate and or bed.
i love when people get right on the *** of my truck, i let off the brake and roll backwards and they start freaking out.

thanks guys for all the compliments! didnt think id get this much response being that i dont see a whole lot of lowered trucks on here. 5speedin2.3 i never used heat before when messing with the ant. im running 245/45s on the front and 315/35s on the rear,and yeah ive had just about every wheel made on it. lol id really like to find a good deal on an edge front bumper and ill probably get a roll pan here shortly. would really like to switch to the 07 front hood and grill,but have a few other projects im working on too! thanks again for all the compliments guys!

thats funny you say that,ive got a 331 in the garage i was talking to my wife about putting it it 2 days ago. ive about got her talked into it! i want to keep it a 5spd if i do. (and keep the fuel mileage of the 3.0)lol i dont know yet.
