New look, but old at the same time (Cap removed)

Hey all. This is a new/old look for me. It's an old look because I've had the truck without a cap when it's been in 3 different stages...
- Had it capless after I first did the superlift with stock rims
- Had it capless again with superlift + prekey/shackles and the Procomp rims
- Now I have it capless for a third time, difference now: No flares

NOTE: I'm hopefully going to be picking my aluminum tool box up from Line-x this week... having the exterior sprayed with bedliner :)... no black powdercoat for me. I'll have update shots of that next weekend hopefully.

I'll hopefully have some updates when I fix a few things... someday I'd like to repair the paint damage and remove the holes from the flares of course... but before that I'd like to replace my cracked fog lights and replace my torsion bars with some #1 bars to try and adjust that front end even half an inch higher...

Still one of my favorite views of my truck

Nice pics, nice truck. Just out of curiosity... why did you remove the flares? I thought most people loved their flares? I think it looks good tho, just need to fix them bullet holes.

Looks great as usual, you should preload your tbars a little more to level it out.

ya it's kind of ironic. One of the reasons I got the sport instead of the model below was because the sport has the fender flares... I thought the flareless ranger was ugly as hell originally.

but ya there's a few reasons... I started thinkin the flares looked cheap, but also oversized, making the lift and the tires look smaller. plus without the flares on my tires stick out more because the front flare extends away from the panel like half an inch, and the rear almost an inch probably...

If i looked at my rear tire through the side mirror with the flares on I could basically only see the sidewalls and a tiny bit of the lugs.

And ya, when money permits I do plan to fill the holes and fix the paint damage caused by the flares

I've always been a fan of caps on non flare side bed rangers.

Looks great! I'd rather have the flares on, but once you get the paint fixed and the holes filled it will look good either way!

Looks good man. But I also liked it better before. The tires almost look too wide now that the flares are gone. Plus I love caps on lifted trucks.

that is why i got an xlt instead of the fx4 or sport. you could always get the older generation of flares and paint them to match.
truck looks great. i know where your located, i've got family over in rockwood. i see the wheel size in your sig. do you get hasseled by the OPP for the tires past the fenders?

EDIT: i have pics saved from when it had the flares and like it flareless much more. it looks wider without since the flare doesn't give the illusion of a thiner tire.

Hey! Sorry for hitting up a seven year old post - but I just picked up a 2010 4x4 Sport (also in Ontario) and am planning on pulling off the massive, plastic flares...

Did you ever patch the holes? What did you do?

I'm looking for a bit of direction to give to the body guy.

Thanks so much.
