Got some new shoes

Got some new shoes put on today. They are P265/75R16 Bridgestone Dueler REvo 2's. They are a huge improvement from the Kumho's I had on there before.

Valance was taken off about 6 months ago, a snowbank did it. Bridgestone lists them as 31.7" on there website, and oddly enough they list there 32's at 31.5".

No such size as a 255/75R16. The middle number is the aspect ratio which is the percentage of sidewall compared to tread width, thats why a 245/75 and 265/75 arnt the same height.

Balance problem with Revo 2s

After a lot of internet research I settled on the Revo 2 tires for my 1999 Ranger 4x4 size 265/75/16. I was really looking forward to the combination of traction and mileage everyone was talking about. Well, to make a long story short, I spent most of the day at America's tire trying to get them to balance. They did it three times including a sophisticated final road simulation balance process. The slight vibration never went away. The truck was glass smooth before it went in there with fairly worn tires so I don't think it was anything to do with the truck. I finally gave up. They are taking off the Revos and putting on Cooper Discoverer ATPs in the next few days. It was probably just a bad one or two tires, but I just didn't want to wait for new ones to be shipped in only to find out they didn't work either. I will say the guys at America's tire couldn't have been nicer or more willing to work with me. I even offered maybe there was something wrong with the truck and they said no, they didn't think so, it was the tires. I have never had this problem with this truck before, never even had to have tires rebalanced after initial installation until a lot of miles later. Anyone else have a problem getting the Revos to balance?
