Cobra 29 LTD BC(black chrome)(I have since swapped out the black chrome case in favor of a standard black textured case). PA speaker mounted behind grille. Antenna mounted to driverside fender via a 99+ SuperDuty bracket. Running a 4' FirestikII with black tunable tip cover(instead of red).

No no, that's not right at all.......It's measure once, cut however many times it takes to figure out that you inched yourself.

Anyway, here is my setup. I can't tell you specifics because I can't remember, lol.

I hate having my iPod just hanging out. I have a vent holder thing, but then it blocks my A/C. I want to get a dash mount, but no need when I already got a holder for it sitting right there on the CB, lol.

Because I already have a headunit I like. Why get something I don't need?

I need to fix the truck before I put money into a sound system. Which I'm not going to throw more money into a sound system that already works perfectly. I'd rather put money into REAL mods.

Joe do you have any pics of bracket mounted but the CB off? Also when you have a chance could you measure the with of your bracket? I have the same exact CB and was trying to figure out a place to put it the other day and noticed I lost my bracket.

i'm the only one i've seen whose mounted it this way:

Velcro to the back of the cab behind the console. Easily taken out or moved to conceal +no drilling.

I gotta get mine back in... I miss it! Working on a custom mount so it will bolt in under my HVAC controls. Pics within a few days hopefully.

I was going to do that, but its too much work lol. Im making an aluminum cover to go over where the little cubby hole and aux input for the stock head unit was (older trucks had an ash tray and airbag switch). that way I have something to just bolt on the bracket that came with the CB.
