Had to change a couple things on the scangauge this evening to make them work in the f150 also (trans temp). Mileage didn't need changing though. . .

what did you change? I need to change that as well.

My mileage on the highway was reading great. 18-20 but after city driving its all down hill.

The code highlighted in red is the one that worked for me. It was different than the one for the sport trac.

Thats the exact F-150 I want. Nothing different. I know how Cincy sucks with truck sales. Trust me there.

I wish I would have taken more off. All I got from is was the Xcal 2, and the Yakima Megawarrior with spare tire mount. I wanted to grab the receivers, winch power cable, etc, but didn't get the chance. I'll probably put the megawarrior up on here in a while but for some reason I don't want to sell it, lol. I don't want it on the F150 but I don't want it to go away. Weird huh?

Nice truck. Its too bad that all your mods on the trac didnt add to the value of it, dont they understand its better now! Im under the impression that youre not going to be able to leave this one stock or just put a leveling kit on it. You have the bug to mod and its not going away just cause you got a new truck. Cant wait to watch and see what mods you do to this one.

Stupid fog is reaking havoc on trying to fly out here!

Merry Christmas BTW.

Hah. Yeah when I told some dealers that it was re-geared and had lockers they said "we don't want it" lol. One dealer said he wouldn't take it on a trade at all. Whatever...

I have a feeling you're right though. I've almost clicked "check out" on Bilstein 5100's leveling shocks (+2" up front) so many times. But I keep thinking, "Wait to see if you get more money for Christmas." And "Wonder how much I'll get back for taxes."
I just got $1000 from my boss for Christmas too. I keep wondering if I can gather enough up for a 6" lift, wheels and tires. Most of the kits require aftermarket wheels. The bonus to that is I can get 17's and tires are cheaper. We'll see. The smarter side of me says "keep it simple and clean, put some more money on the credit cards". But that side of me often loses to the more fun side.

I might fly tomorrow if my boss decides he wants to be out when it is 5*F in the morning. Then he's off to Florida for a while . Plenty of time to do a roll-in liner or something.

Merry Christmas to you to too!

i usually lose too when it comes to credit cards or mods. trucks are more fun! i had the day off today. im offshore and the winds are kickin like 40+kts. the whole platform is shaking, so i may not fly tomorrow either.

just a little lift, just for a minute, just to see how it feels........

yea, good luck with that.

Hah, that sucks. First night sitting on a platform I assume? I bet it sketchy sitting up there on a shaking platform. I hear they have awsome cooks out there though..? Do you guys have a company wind limitation? Heard some in the gulf set a limit at 40ish. Wait the 206 has a startup limit too, doesn't it? (not saying I like flying in 40 knots anyway lol)
Do you have a regular base for now?

I just gave a ride to an EMS pilot who landed in town. I was driving back from the store and it's about -14C out right now. Started to snow, and I see a helicopter flying low with his search light, lol. I guess he was taking a patient somewhere and diverted to the hospital here, and their helipad is offsite in a dark field. He circled about 5 times before he found it, and I parked where he was coming down. The ambulance came out, took the patient and drove off without the pilot. He needed to tie down his blades but they had to leave, and it was freezing, snowing and gusting to 22knots. I helped him tie up and gave him a ride to the hospital. He was like, "Man I need to get a corporate job or even something else part time. I'm tired of landing in dark fields in the snow at night", he was and older guy, sounded a bit upset at the snow (I've been there too!).

Oh, and I'm enjoying parking the F150 in the garage right now too! Fits with 4" to spare front to back, and atleast 4-5 inches on the top. My steep driveway starts down right at the edge of the garage and helps the cab clear the door . I try to keep reminding myself that with a 4-6" lift, it definitely won't fit.
And still, when I see one with a 2" leveling kit and 35's it looks pretty good. But still not as good as they do with 6"...
I think I could do with something like this for a little while...

I like that truck, i could live with that. Just clean and simple and it would still fit in the garage.

Yea.... i dont know about the ems job, that would just be too sketchy for me. Thats cool that you got to help him out and check out his bird i assume. Ive been offshore for a few nites now, and no this platform doesnt have a cook. If your hungry, cook it your dam self. Its a small one with only 5 guys. Its cramped but i get paid extra for staying offshore, so it works out. The wind is still kickin and we do have limitations for flying at 35kts. We cant even start up if the winds are more than 25kts, we might chop off one of the vertical fins. im getting bounced around from contract to contract but at least im flying out of the same base. So here i sit, looking at trucks. I wish i was back home, i hear its just dumping like mad out there, i wish i could go play.

Yep, forgot about the overnight pay, that helps I suppose.
Ended up flying this morning, turns out the heater doesn't keep up too well at -17C.

Friends back at home keep sending me pictures of snow, it is crazy. Never seen it like that around there before. The freeways are almost deserted in some places and it looks like a blanket of snow 100ft across, pretty sweet.

Boss is gone in the morning until (sounds like) mid January atleast. Lots of free time and nothing to do. Just a service bulletin to comply with and maybe get a track and balance done. Hmm...

yea.. all these pics of snow in the NW is driving me crazy, i want to go play!!! My g/f has been telling me she cant even drive her jeep around, 4wd w/o chains isnt working well for her. So she parked it and is leaving for San Diego tonite.

All that spare time could be dangerous. Dont let the mod bug bite. Maybe its time for a trip home if you got all this time off. Are you headed home for Christmas anyway?
