You did a great prep work and it does look good.
A little late BUT the Plastic Step Plates on the sides of the Bed can be un-snapped and removed; there are four Clips holding each on. Two Clips on the outer edge that need to be pressed together to get them to slide out (one needs to be popped using a Clip Prying Tool) and two hook type clips on the inner edge.
Anyway, I have to ask, what made you go with the Bed Liners instead of a “Shield Guard” that is clear and goes over the paint ?

The herculiner has a little bit of thickness to it so I didn't really see being able to herculine under the little plastic plate. I just taped it off cause that corner is very hard to properly paint herculiner into.
Also, i did it because with my tires sticking out i tend to throw up rocks into my door and sides. I also had a big paint chip i hid underneath it. And also, black on red looks awesome.
