I think there are only two members with headache racks. Shane, and Dustin. I could be wrong, but that's the only two I know of.

Just curious, may be a dumb question, but what is the purpose of a headache rack?

Well the back of the roof just above the window. I have seen many people put ladders and stuff against the roof and tailgate and destroy the roof.

Yup that's it. One company I worked for had a Ranger and the rear roof line was shot to hell and all rusty because the people that drive it didn't give a crap about it. Pissed me off big time.

The purpose (at least for our company trucks) is to use both your tail gate, and the rack as a means of transporting long materials while still being able to utilize the bed space to carry other stuff.

I personally want to make or have made a headache rack that has another head ache rack that can be moved to the rear stake pockets. Our big Duramax company truck has a setup like that, and it is great for when you gotta carry ladders, but still use the flat bed to carry other stuff.
