40/40 to 60/40 reverse seat mod

So I finally I got sick of my center console and I decided I want my 60/40 back. I didnt cut any of the fabric so it made it very easy to go back. I took a 13/16th inch rod, coated it in JB Weld and put it in the tube to glue everything back together.

Cool deal, I bet if someone sits on the middle it will snap off though. Why'd you change back?

Its pretty strong actually. The rod in the middle is holding all the pressure, the JB Weld is just there to prevent it from falling apart.

I did it for a couple reasons. I'm 6' 3" and it just feels cramped. The cup holders SUCKED! and my girlfriend hated it. It was just awkward with it in the middle of us.

Nope I just painted them to match the grille. pretty good huh?

Actually I took them off because I have to do some re-wiring. The new switches that I am getting are not rated as high as I need them to be, so I took them off and ill start re-wiring them with relays next week sometime.

Yeah I need to find the inserts that go in the cupholders, it does get kind of irritating sometimes. I just need to find a good quality set of the inserts for mine and I'll be happy.

Yeah I don't like the light gray console in your truck, it just sticks out.

It was painted black shortly after that picture was taken. That picture is from like may or june. But its the only picture I had on my photo bucket of it.

Looks good, but I like the Expo console, but then again, when I had a girlfriend she and I both hated my console.

Haha pretty much. She goes to school an hour away and I probably make the trip with her atleast 3 times a month. It will be so much nicer then the console.
