I had a blast. If there is another meet there in August, I am sure Laura will want to go, she is ready to go back Maybe by the next meet there, the BII will be SAS'd

P.S. - Laura is wanting to move to northern Indiana now.

Laura says OK to going in August.

BTW: anyone who wants to complain about the drive can kiss my white hiney. It took us 10 hours to get home last night. Granted that was stopping whenever we wanted, and swinging by Beard's and Gumby's to pick up some parts.

Man that looks like so much fun! I would love to have gone, but I am not making that drive. Maurice, I am not complaining nor will I kiss you anywhere. haha. Again looks like a blast. I guess it would be a lot easier with 4wd.

Its not 2 bad in 2wd. I managed to get my truck around just fine, just had to do everything a little different. There was a guy out on test hill (really really big steep hill) with a 2wd ranger, on stock 14" wheels, crappy tires, and a 3.0 and he was running around all day long havin a blast, even made it up test hill a couple times.

mark not to be a dick or anything cause i got no problem with you or daniel, but there is no point to come and say you can walk all over us with ur truck and you can do the same in ur backyard. ill bet you you would have the same problems climbin thoes hills as us. zachs truck walked all over thoes dunes with no problem. no one really had a problem out there. were not there to total anything and have to worry about getting towed home. it more of the group getting together and having a good time camping with the trucks, and not a parking lot meet. as we all no pix do not compair to what the hills actually were like, just like ur rose city pix done look all that hard.
you should actually come to a trail meet with us. then ill respect ur opinion when ur riding along.

and just to through it out there, at least zachs sas has a t-case and driveshaft.
haha, had to put it. j/k tho i understand the money issue.

on the other hand, when you put the manual t-case in did u bend the shifter arm or just leave it and cut the crap outta the cup holder. i no i saw it but i dont remember. and right now i have a hole in my floor with the shifter stickin through and the cup holders sittin in the back seat

I think you could modify the shifter arm into an L and then cut a small section out of the console Evan.

And pictures don't show what those hills are like.

k. i have the cb mounted to and it blocks most of the passenger side cup holder. if i cut the driver one out then i wont have anything good. i donno what im going to do yet. but i gotta decide quick cause that hot air blowing through that hole is getting annoying. never realized how much heat that cover blocks

Good luck finding a transmission that never existed. Ford never made a 2.5 4wd Ranger; and I believe the 2.3 and 2.5 have different bell housings and you can't swap them on the manual transmissions.

Who said anything about bending the shifter? What would be wrong with making the shifter into an L? it is plenty far out of the way of the right leg and it would clear the cup holder; not to mention it would still work in the same fashion as it did in stock form. Think outside the box a bit Mark.

I didn't think the 2.3 and 2.5 had the same bell housings. just because the flywheel is the same size doesn't mean the bell housings are the same.
