The truck that was.
People keep asking me what happened, well where to start the truck was going down hill and fast. Last winter I rebuild the head on it. It decided to drop out a follower in piston #4 while I was on the way to work turned into a Briggs and Stratton but I was able to turn around and get it home slowly. cam and followers were wore down almost .020 and inch on the lobes, which explains why my timing was always so srewed up. After that she was good for the summer then winter came again first my rear wheel cylinders went bad had to rebuild then front bearings when out while I was play'n around out at my friends house. A week later tranfercase makes a loud SNAP noise while try'n to pull out a friend from the ditch. But I can't afford to fix so i continue to drive, in janurary Transmission starts acting up off and on but again I can't afford to fix so I continue to drive. Shortly after that the motor develops a rod tap and just as above I continued to drive then one day on my way home from work I'm cruisin and 55 mph and the truck starts shaking and the engine get really loud and the speed drops dramaticly and finally shuts off in a cloud of smoke. So I get it home pull the oil pan find out I spun two bearings. So I park it out front of my apartment complex so manager doesn't tow it until I can find a donor motor, well about two weeks later I'm leaving to go to the store with my girlfriend and I see some one had hit my truck and and ran. Shoved the bed over 2" and the back of the cab into the drivers door and pushed the rocker down 3 inches. (it had some rust) So I said screw it and parted it out and junked it. Heres some pics:
Heres the bearing...well whats left of it.
Heres damage from hit:
Heres taredown:
And there she was...
