Took the plunge, this truck is currently on the same path as the Ranger.. Sound system, head lights, exhaust system.. Except this time I know to skip the IFS lift and go straight to a solid axle.

I was told it was a Flowmaster 70. It cost me ~$15 for pipe pieces, clamp, hanger and turn down. The muffler was free

So far I have mixed feelings on it.. I love it cause its quiet at idle, pretty quiet on the highway and still roars when you get on it.. But at the same time I liked it being quiet. I'll try to get a driving video in the next few days.

I'm not sure why it sounds so weird in the video.. nothing is wrong with it haha

yea I was in a rush when I put it back on and filled it up.. But its got fancy Royal Purple in it so I don't want to go draining it just to stop a slow leak.

2003 Chevy 1500 Z71 with the 5.3.

Blanket? You mean the tarp? It just happened to be laying in the garage next to where I put the muffler.

But how are you using the sand baggin part??

I wanted an exhaust system, but didn't want to spend the money. The only reason this went on is cause I got it for free.

Don't get me started on the 'mod bug' hah, I already have dreams..

We all knew that wasn't true.. It was a matter of time.

But I still haven't done any irreversible mods. When I go hacking the suspension off you can call me a sonofa*****.

I'm not sure I would call a flowmaster and an autozone tip an exhaust system, but to each his own. lol

I hope it sounds better than the video!

No no no.. I know THATS not an exhaust system. I said I wanted one but don't want to spend the money on it.. It works for me though.. and yes, it sounds much better in person, idk what the hell my friend was doing while he was recording.
