New Windshield

Almost not worth posting, but why not. Had to get the windshield replaced for my NC inspection next month. It has been cracked for around 5 years now, but finally spread all the way across to the driver's side. So after a few phone calls yesterday, I made an appointment with GlassMasters. They came out to the shop today and put it in. $150 after taxes, disposal, etc. and now it's good as new. I don't carry full coverage insurance, so I had to pay it out of pocket. Also, talked to him about putting the tab I bought for the Explorer auto dim mirror on. Turns out the new windshield came with the right size already on it. So I guess my stock Ranger mirror wouldn't have fit. :hmmmm2:

I was trying to put this off until I was ready to paint, but I ran out of time. Anyways, here are the pics.

not worth the money to tint it 4" down. I may tint the rear, but the extra money at inspection would suck each year. I think it's $35 extra at inspection time.

I thought it was the same all over but maybe some shops do charge different amounts? The shop I normally go to and the Ford dealership both charged me $10 for it. I've heard $10 from others too, but it could be different from each shop.

No extra when I get mine inspected, may be different in my county though. Or maybe they're nice and don't charge...

lol. The extra time it takes to pick up a gauge off of a table, hold it up to the window, and put it down haha.....at least I think thats all they do.

It was an extra $10 for me I believe.....actually no.....I had my windows rolled down the last time.
