If you find a fix for this please post it. I did the exact same swap as you and have the exact same seats now with the grey insert and the seats have wrinkles too now. It really bugs the hell out of me. I'd love to know a good fix.

ya seams to be a ford ranger seat flaw even my old ones had it though not as noticeable with the darker color lol

my plan is to pull the seats apart in the spring time for a cleaning and if i find any solution ill post them

If you ever come down here for a few hours, I can fix it. pop that seam apart in the back, and pull the excess material to the back and resew it.

I need to resew one of my seams, is there any way to do it without taking the covers off? The front horizontal one under your butt, its coming unstitched.

That bucket mod looks great!!

you can hand sew it with a curved needle, but it might not hold up too long. best way is to take the cover off and put it under a machine. same amount of time to do it either way, but you get a better, more secure seam when using the machine.

My Colorado's 60/40 seats are almost identical to my old 60/40 Ranger seats and they had the same problem. I do agree though the black hid the wrinkles a lot more.

when i pulled the covers off my old 60/40's that was not the hard part.
putting the passenger seat was easy the drivers,60 part of the seats was hell lol

this eliminated 1/2 of the wrinkle effect of the that drivers seat in the proses

here is the thread i posted on the clean up

Looking good! Finally got the FX4 Console in there! IMO i hate those seats. Freaking headrest is to high and is hard to look over my right shoulder when changing lanes, as well as looking in the rear view mirror, kinda blocks the right rear corner of the bed. I just like to have full vision of whats going on behind me and on the rear sides stupid people like to hid in my blind spots.

Well worth a 1.5 hour drive. Looks great! I love how in the first before pic it looks like the glove in the door cuby is giving the finger.
