What the heck is this? and a few pics of the truck!

So my new truck is a 2003 ford ranger 2.3l 5 speed , and while working on it, as go figure the warranty runs out and I have some problems, mainly small leak no biggy
But while under the truck I find something, that wasnt on my 95 ranger, that caught my attention and I wanna know what it is! btw , this is right infront of where the spare tire is, and I also need to know of that hose thats open is supposed to go to something and if I need to worry about water affecting whatever this is!

asked a few members and no one can tell me so I'll ask on the forum lol!

Yupp. It's for emissions/evap system. Don't worry about it. Yes, you should have two open hoses under there, one for the charcoal canister, one for the axle breather.

Not to be mean about your old truck or anything, but that sure is a nice improvement over what you had man. I really dig it with the black wheels, chrome centers, and AT's.
