I love it. Probably the coolest thing I have on my truck so far.

One of those things I've always wanted, but not enough to buy and install.

70$ from SFYR. Its so nice having it. You only have to lift about half way and it does the rest, makes it way easier lifting the hood, its pretty heavy.

You're not lying. I'm only 5'9" and sometimes it can be a pain to get the prop in. I need to get me some of these.

They would come in handy when I get my lift put on. I noticed it was a little harder putting my hood up tonight when I had to lean over the bumper. B3" higher will be quite a stretch for me.

powerdome hoods weigh a good bit......rcd'd and bl'd on 35's.....that convined me to do it. you have to like....pop it open...wiggle to the driver side while holding the hood and the rod...then kinda tippy toe to hold the hood high enough to get the rod in the hole. i have to warn people who pop my hood...they aren't expecting those rams there. lol.

i first started to build my own...using 96+ taurus hood struts...the ***** or whatever from a jimmy/bravada/blazer and a lift gate one from an expo. 96+ taurus struts are proper length i believe.

then i gave up and forked over the green. lol.

i figured it wasn't that much for how convenient it was.

i love it. it was kinda scary to install drilling through the hood, felt like i was gunna have 6 holes in the top of my hood haha.

I love it. I learn something new from you guys every day. I notice RedLine lists 3 models. The base QuickLift, for $70. The QuickLift Plus, for $85 and the QuiclLift Elite. for $120. Underdog ONLY lists the Elite model for the same $120. I have a Reflexion after market hood that's quite a bit heavier than the OEM hood I took off. I was just wondering if the basic model will be strong enough? Or should I just go for the Elite? What do you think?

it lifts my heavy *** powerdome hood just fine. idk if it will mount properly to an aftermarket hood.

Something cool to have, but for the price, my stock set-up is good enough. I'm only under the hood for oil changes and routine maintenance.
