97 Power steering Leak
Friends 97 has a power steering leak and I think it is the lines from the gear box to pump, hard to tell for sure as it is wet at the lines on the sector and they are quite rusted. Could be the o-rings also. Could not see or find any wetness on the resovoir. I have looked from the bottom and top cannot see where it is coming from for sure even while running. Seems to leak more after warmed up and a longer drive.
I am planning on replacing both pressure line and return line as the vehicle has 175K on it.
I plan on removing the power steering pump unless someone has a easier and quicker idea.
Has any one used the puller set from Harbor freight, on sale now for 15 bucks???

Oreilys also has a puller in their loan a tool program. I just like to take things apart then get what I need instead of multiple trips at 4 bucks a gallon for gas.
thanks

Just got done replacing the return hose, the pin hole finally got bigger, steady stream came out now and needed to be replaced asap. I did not remove the pump, had to break the pipe portion off at the gear box so I could get a 16mm 6 point socket with a long extension on the pipe connector to break it loose. There is not a lot of room to work with. PITA.
