catalytic converter

I have a 1998 with a 4 cylinder.

I need a new caddy and Salvo Auto tried to sell me one with a 1/4 inch smaller opening and exhaust that the original. Will that cause air flow problems?

Thank you!!

Most likely it will. If ur o2 is before the cat like on mine just cut the cat off. It will make ur 2.3 sound better.
