So I am currently in the market for a used ranger in Salt Lake City. So I'm looking through listings and this guy is advertising a 2.7 4 cylinder ranger. I am mainly looking for a newer ranger with the 2.3 duratec engine, but this 2.7 engine peaked my interest so i started trying to find anything i could on it, and nothing. so my question is- is this guy just stupid, or is there really a 2.7 engine made for the ranger. and if there is a 2.7 engine if you guys could give me all the info you know on how good the mileage is and how reliable it is that would be awesome.

Just a typo, no 2.7l Lima engines

Chrysler made a 2.7l V6 starting in 1998, would be an interesting swap, lol.

 

i think he might have had a typo he either ment a 2.3 or 2.5
