'94 Ranger running weird
I have a '94 2.3 5spd ranger the isnt running right. When you change gears the throttle sticks even if you dont use the clutch to shift. Sometimes when you come to a stop it will idle rough and shut itself off unless you hold the throttle a little. If it has been sitting for a few hours it will start up fine, however if you drive it, turn it of and then restart it, you have to hold the starter for a few seconds for it to start. I have already replaced the IAC, throttle position sensor, mass air meter, and clutch safety switch and I'm out of ideas, please help me. Thanks

I hooked up a scan tool and could not get it to do anything, when I did the key on engine off test the scanner did nothing but give off a solid light/tone. I read the manual and made sure I did everything right. When i tried the engine running test, it had trouble starting and smoked/ran rough when it did start (fuel, I believe), unplugged the scanner and ran better.
Could my ECU be bad? Has this happened to anyone? Thanks
