Engine problems

My '99 Ranger 2.5 timing belt broke a few months ago and I repaired and everything went fine with no problems and ran good afterwards until a hose started leaking and it cut off on me and wouldn't crank even though according to the temp gauge it never really got above the half way mark on gauge. I was able to add water and get it home and replace the hose and actually ran ok afterwards but started having alot of white smoke on cold startups but now a few months later it runs ok cold but as soon as it heats up (maybe 5 minutes) it would stall, backfire, run rough, and you can hear burping and odd water sounds in engine compartment that are not normal. The last time I had it running it cut off when it heated up to normal temp but it now will not start even days later. I hope someone can help me diagnose the problem so I can decide how to take care of it?

The catalytic converter actually got so hot and caught the floor board carpet on fire right after the timing belt repair and I removed it and just added a straight pipe in its place, (Alabama has no emmissions test so thats not an issue). Just trying to list all the problems leading up to the current problem.

Cat gets hot from too much fuel, so engine is running too Rich

Cold engine needs to run Rich, but warmed up engine will stall if mixture is too Rich.

Hold gas pedal down to the floor all the way and try to start it
If should NOT start or even fire with gas pedal to the floor, if it does you have a leaking fuel injector
