2.5 or 2.3

how can i tell the difference between a 2.3 and a 2.5, and will the timing covers interchange?

which 2.3 are you talking about...the lima or duratec?

2.5 or 2.3

The 2.5 is a sohc, I assume that it was developed from the 2.3 lima, are the externals such as the timing cover the same. Is there a way to adjust the tracking of the timing belt, this one runs with about an 1/8" overhang on the front of the pulleys.

They are pretty much the same engine, the 2.5 is just a stroked 2.3.
