2.5L pinging

Looking for help with bad pinging at acceleration. have a 2000 mazda B2500 [Ford Ranger] 168k, all tune up items and filters replaced, timing belt replaced, good fuel pressure, no faults, seafoamed at; booster, crankcase and tank, gets @ 25mpg, good acceleration, replaced EGR; actuator motor, valve and exhaust press sensor. Still pings with premium gas and octane boost. Checked timing = 6 BTDC at idle, does jump to 30+ when rev engine. As best I know timing cannot be adjusted. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks

My 2000 B2500 just developed the same issue...did you ever find a cause or solution? I haven't yet changed the timing belt but I am looking at that as a possibility...I am thinking some sort of vacuum leak but I cannot find one...an internal leak?

sounds like your ignition coil is starting to fail

their ability to spool a charge over time does diminish
