i was thinking about building my 2.3l and was wondering if anybody knows of some quik upgrades ?

 

swap for a turbo 2.3 out of a stang...

 

cuz those are cheap and real easy to come by:-)

 

whats the best year?

 

87-88 thunderbird turbo coupe with the LA3 computer as far as factory setups go. At least starting with an 85 you wont have too much wiring in the way of putting it in, I would say just rip out everything from the truck except the body harness and wire in the entire turbo harness, computer, and electronics with the motor.

 

has anybody here don this before?

 

hey "treiron" i have a transmision out of an ea81 subaru and you would just have to buy an adapter plate....

 

heh thanks for the offer but aside from the fact that the turbo legacy has a very odd and rare gear ratio, that turbo motor would absolutely DESTROY that ea81 tranny heh. I'm just gonna get it rebuilt eventually.
