Icon5 2.3duratec into a 98?

Well I'm still considering the 5.0 swap later on, but if gas keeps where its at or higher I might seriously consider and duratec if its doable. Close to the power I have now, but better mpgs would be nice. So does anyone know if its possible to swap it into a 98 without it being too difficult?

i'd say just go for the 5.0 since its uber simple in your 98.

depending on what you have now, mpgs would be close to the same unless you do some modding to it.

plus gas at least here, has dropped like 30 cents in the last month or 2.

Has the 3.0 right now. Not really sure how it'll do on MPG's haven't made it my full DD yet. Not ruling the 5.0, but it wont be till after I have a house and by then who knows what gas will be like.

well i guess the 2wd would do better than my 4x4 3.0, but i'm still about the same with my 5.0 as before, and once i get a manual tcase and ditch this AWD it should be better yet.

Ha yeah, but as much as I'd love a 5.0 in this thing. I'm starting to lean more towards economy. Once I am out of school and working and settled on a house I am considering a ecoboost f150. That probably wont happen till 2013 sometime if we are still alive....lol.

3.0? Sucks it doesn't have a 2.5 in it (2.3t swap ftw, can't wait to finish mine...). turbo it and you get tons of power and still able to keep nice mpgs as long as you aren't driving it like you stole it....lololol.

Thats why I am hesitant to put a 5.0 in it because I probably would and get like 5 gallons per mile LOL.
