1997 2.3 in a 2.3 1994 Truck...Easy or a Congress of Baboons in the making?

Hey guys,

Thinking of dropping a Ranger 97 2.3 into a 94 Ranger 2.3. Read that the connectors, sensors, intake ect should be swapped from the 94 to the 97 block (since the long blocks are the same) so the computer & connections on the 94 will match/connect to control the engine.

Is this all that needs doing without creating a cluster? Any of y'all do this swap? If so, your words of wisdom?

Is there any issues with the cam position sensor that the 97 has that the 94 does not?

Thanks for the suggestions in advance..........

Phil

That's pretty much it and the cam sensor isn't needed.
