1994 Automatic - Neutral Safety Switch location?
I have a 1994 Ford Ranger "4 cylinder" - automatic.
I'm having trouble starting it. I put the key in and turn it and all the electrical comes on strong "lights, radio, etc...", but nothing happens. I hear no sounds at all. Trying to jump start it does nothing at all.
But I've have found that If I take it out of park and put it back "several times" then it starts fine. Sometimes I have to jiggle the P R N D lever "in park" and then it starts. But now it's getting worse. I think the problem might be the "Park/Neutral Safety Switch", but I can't figure out where this located? Is this a hard item to install? I am a wanna-be mechanic. I do my brakes and little things like that. Is this something I can do? Any guidance or opinions would be greatly appreciated. I've spent a couple of hours searching the internet with not much luck.
Thanks

So this is actually connected to the outside of the transmission? I thought it would be in the steering column.
